PROJECT BULLETPROOF
1969 Ford Torino GT Sportsroof
From Imagine Motorsports, Inc.,
creators of The Poison Dart, comes
the latest in Pro-touring vintage
racing design, project BulletProof.
BulletProof is based on a 1969 Ford
Torino GT sportsroof body, the same
aerodynamic design that propelled
Ford into the racing elite in the
late sixties. A heritage Trans Am
road racing theme will grace
BulletProof, while modern engine and
suspension technology provide
thundering horsepower, torque and
precise handling characteristics.
Project BulletProof will blur
the lines between show car, street
car and full-assault race car.
BulletProof will be powered by a
supercharged 427 cubic inch Ford
small block capable of over 800
horsepower and 800 foot pounds of
torque. A Ford AODE with overdrive
and paddleshifter will transmit the
ponies to a beefed Ford 9" rearend
sporting a 3.73 rear gear. Fully
adjustable front and rear suspension
mated to a high-performance braking
system and competition rubber will
make BulletProof handle and corner
like its road racing ancestors.
Staying true to its racing heritage,
the BulletProof interior will be
comprised of two racing style seats
with harnesses, an aluminum dash
panel, and integrated roll cage.
The goal of Imagine Motorsports is
to conceive, design and create the
ultimate performance package using
today's technology on yesterday's
mechanics, tipping our hat and
paying tribute to a 40 year racing
history that has entertained and
inspired three generations of
automotive enthusiasts.
