Imagine Motorsports Media Coverage and Event Schedule

Las Vegas, NV - Imagine Motorsports, Inc. teamed with the OPTIMA Batteries crew to prepare and present two 2006 Z06 Corvettes for this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas.  The black and silver multi-hued Vettes drew the attention of thousands of SEMA attendees with their aggressive styling and full race look. The OPTIMA Corvettes received a slew of styling and performance upgrades from companies like OPTIMA, Sparco, Magna Flow, Eibach, Goodyear, Crow, Haltech, Centerforce, Racemesh, GMS, and Redline.

Following the SEMA show debut, Imagine Motorsports transported the OPTIMA Vettes to the beautiful Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, NV for a Corvette open track day. Spring Mountain is a new track/motorsports country club that includes an advanced driving school. It's one of the only schools in the country that students can put up to 300 miles on a current year Z06 Vette! The 3.1 mile course is very technical so the instructors were more than willing to show us the right line around the course! After a brief introductory lap, we took to the course to put the Vettes through their paces. After a quick suspension adjustment, the OPTIMA Vettes performed flawlessly, both turning sub-three minute laptimes. All the Spring Mountain staff were wonderful hosts and they made sure that every need was tended to. With over 100 Vettes registered, this event is one of the largest all Corvette track days in the country!

Keep an eye out for Imagine Motorsports and the OPTIMA Corvettes at various shows throughout the country in 2007.   The crew and their cameras from Spike TV's "Musclecar" show made the long trip from the country music capital in Nashville, TN to the most famous beer city in America, Milwaukee, WI to capture on video some of the rarest and finest musclecars in existence. The Imagine Motorsports team assisted our friend and good client Colin Comer from Colin's Classic Autos (CCA) during the weeklong taping session at one of the oldest continuously operating tracks in the US, The Milwaukee Mile. In addition to the Mr. Norm's Dart and classic 64 Galaxie Texas police car pictured here, the Musclecar crew also captured Colin's 69 Hemi Superbee, his 69 1/2 440-6 A12 Roadrunner, a 70 AAR Cuda and his 70 Olds 442 W30. And don't think this was just some powder puff low-speed or static photo stuff! Colin believes these cars were meant to driven, and he certainly backed up his words during the week. On the oval and on the road course, Colin put each one of the museum-quality vehicles through its paces. And if you think that's outrageous, we drove these cars to and from the track each day in freeway rush hour traffic! Musclecar airs each Saturday morning on Spike TV during the Castrol Powerblock. Watch for these episodes to air later this year in August and September. To see Colin's inventory or to view his private collection, please visit colinsclassicauto.com, or click on the link on our home page. Imagine Motorsports provides service, repair, maintenance and restoration services for Colin's Classic Autos and many other collectors around the country. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss turning your
Imagination into reality.

The Poison Dart visited Bowling Green, Kentucky - home to the corporate headquarters of Holley, The Performance Company.  The engineers and tech staff spent two days assessing then dialing in the fuel injection system.  Holley's dyno shows that the Dart has in excess of 500 HP at the rear wheels!  The Poison Dart will be displayed in Holley's booth at this year's SEMA event in Las Vegas November 2-5.

The Poison Dart wins PHR Top Ten!

Waukesha, WI - The Poison Dart, the 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger, owned by Richard "The Bird" Wies and built by Imagine Motorsports was chosen by Popular Hot Rodding magazine to receive a Top 10 award at the Goodguys Great Lakes Nationals, held at the Waukesha Expo Center near Milwaukee, WI.

This year's Goodguys event attracted more than 1000 entries and was attended by over 20,000 spectators.  The show attracts a wide variety of automotive enthusiasts and vehicles ranging from classic hot rods and rat rods to full blown street machines and concours restored originals.

The Poison Dart was featured in the PPG display for the three day event.  Congratulations Richard!  Thanks go out to the Goodguys for putting on such a great event, to Popular Hot Rodding for the recognition, to PPG for the hospitality, and to all of our partners and sponsors for helping us make The Poison Dart a reality.

Popular Hot Rodding Magazine photographs The Poison Dart - Milwaukee, WI

The Poison Dart, owned by Richard "The Bird" Wies and built by Imagine Motorsports was photographed last week by enthusiast magazine Popular Hot Rodding, a Primedia publication.  Noted automotive photographer and former NBA star Jim McIlvane came to Milwaukee with the specific task of capturing the Poison Dart for the readers of Popular Hot Rodding.

"This car really makes a statement and you're going to see a lot of people paying more attention to Dodge Darts" said McIlvane.  "It's nice to see somebody do something out of the ordinary and do it right and to this level of quality."

The Poison Dart was shot in the gritty industrial Menominee Valley, near Miller Park and was captured in motion across the new 6th Street bridge against a brilliant sunset.  Day two found the Dart in the tranquil setting of St. Rita's church in Racine Wisconsin for detail shots of the engine, interior and trunk.  The proofs of the photo shoot turned out great, so look for The Poison Dart in an upcoming issue of PHR.

At least two other magazines have scheduled photo shoots of the Dart.  Thanks go out to the many sponsors and build partners that made the project possible.  The Poison Dart has received rave reviews at all the shows this year and is proving to be a significant vehicle to the automotive enthusiast market.  Be sure to visit
www.imaginemotorsports.com for a more detailed look at The Poison Dart.  The media page lists the show schedule for Imagine Motorsports and The Poison Dart, so don't miss your chance to see it in person.

Progress on The Poison Dart is being featured on The Dish Network's V8 TV. Host Kevin Oeste interviewed Imagine Motorsports owner Jimi Day and fabricator Jeff Schwartz to get the full scoop on Richard Wies' lethal A body as it comes together for it's debut at this year's HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour.

"The Poison Dart is loaded with small details that separate the great cars from the really good ones" said Jimi, as he outlined a few of the trick items that are part of the build.  Details like EFI & NOS, powdercoating the complete underside of the car in body color, the carbon fiber accents and flames & stripes that wrap the various body panels were a few of the things pointed out.  As well, the progress of the build - pulling the car together in only five months - was highlighted.

The Poison Dart, a 1970 Dart Swinger featuring a fuel injected, nitrous boosted 528 Hemi, is being built by Imagine Motorsports for Richard Wies, Jr. of Baltimore, MD.  Pfaff Digital Rendering & Design, Schwartz Extreme Performance and Authentic Automotive have all teamed with Imagine Motorsports to bring the Dart to life.

Kevin Oeste is the creator and Producer of V8TV.  Oeste recognized the need to create a show that delivered hands-on tech and product info to the millions of enthusiasts who want to build their own dream cars.  You may have seen him in a previous life as producer of Hot Rod Magazine TV.  Now, Oeste is up to his eyes in V8TV project cars... after all,  there are 15 V8TV project cars so far!  Visit their website at www.v8tvshow.com.
